This interview really reminded me of the Watergate journos still doing the rounds recently. Feted as gods, but really just trading on their long past Watergate glories, essentially seriously out of step with current events and lacking the vital objectivity that once informed their work.

I'm not religious sadly, but if I were I like to think there's a special circle of Hell reserved for Henry Kissinger.

Certainly agree on Hersh's final point about both UK and US captured two party systems being a serious part of the problem. Both seriously vulnerable to corruption, indifference and ideological stagnation.

Nixon also sought to sabotage the trials, I believe, to ensure no US soldier was found guilty of war crimes.

I'd agree but we're all different and we've all got different viewpoints on things I guess. I'm not American, but I was really disappointed to hear how RFK Jr sent Tweets supportive of Roger Waters only to quickly delete them when he was leant on by the Israel lobby and swiftly and cravenly recant. In his defence, you likely have zero hope of getting to become POTUS without the support of said lobby, but it goes to show you how certain foreign powers, including KSA too I might add, get to influence the outcome of a US presidential election. Far more, in fact, than Russia and yet the MSM doesn't see fit to bat an eyelid.

No such person.

Biden didn't stop the war in Afghanistan. That deal was pre-agreed by Trump. He first delayed and then seriously botched the planned withdrawal leading to many needless deaths and leaving billions of US military hardware behind.

For a super smart guy, Seymour Hersh can also be pretty dumb which is reassuring in a way. Of course vaccinations are important, but one would like to imagine that both his doctor wife and daughter know that prior to the beginning of last year covid jabs weren't even classed as 'vaccinations'. The very long standing definition of 'vaccination' was changed specifically because of these covid jabs as were the very long established, time dependent protocols required to test for efficacy and safety. Protocols subsequently entirely ignored. To this day there is essentially no such thing as a coronavirus vaccine and yet Mr Hersh, supposedly with a superior incisive inquiring mind fails to know this and by the sounds of things nor do his wife and daughter. Nothing wrong with staying in your lane, but at least have the decency to acknowledge that that's what you're doing rather than sinking to calling those who know a f*ck sight more than you do about something like Kennedy a loony.

I don't know the answer to that but I think it can be taken as a given that both sides are forever telling propaganda porkies for both domestic and external consumption. The one thing I do believe is that Russia never really wanted to invade, occipy and subjugate Ukraine per se merely fight and occupy as much as it sensibly can until common sense finally breaks out and a negotiated settlement can be reached. A settlement likely resulting in the annexation of the ethnic Russian dominated lands including Crimea and, depending on where what the situation is when that time comes, a legally neutral Ukraine.

He obviously hasn't seen the 'recent', now 18 months long now, global excess death rates. Could be lockdowns, could be the jabs, could be both, but no one seems to be interested in finding out either way. Even WHO which has just secured a 20% increase in funding now seems to have lost interest in 'saving lives'. Perhaps what we need is Sy Hersh and a time machine?
