The bicameral system means that when it comes to the final run off next Sunday Macron will still easily beat Le Pen again. Last time out he won 66% of the vote and she 34%. She was trounced. This time round it will be closer undoubtedly, but she has Putin former links to play down, her immigration policies will bring her into direct conflict with the EU and her economic policies are clearly not very well thought through so the tide will slowly turn in the next two weeks of political sparring barring a miracle. I say all this as someone who is decidedly not a Macron fan by the way.
