  1. Hear, hear. The West's role in provoking this conflict ie the US, NATO and the EU has been known about for many years. Western leaders were repeatedly warned not to meddle and give Ukrainians false hope and a false sense of security in their dealings with Putin's Russia. That in no way excuses what is happening in Ukraine at the moment to predominantly innocent people at the hands of the Russian army. A solution to this that is amenable to both sides, essentially regarding the legally assured future neutrality of Ukraine, has to be found and found quickly in everyone's interests before this already horrendous episode spirals into something far worse.
