And the biggest worry here is that there's no serious political opposition to this madness and what there is is bemoaning that the government still isn't going in far enough or hard enough.

@user-nx6ji9tk8i I have written protesting to my MP and recommend everyone does the same. The NC is an interesting one as I fear that the government would either claim 'TINA' under Section 2 of the code or would claim that what it is up to is not an experiment. Neither of which I agree with, but until someone legally challenges the government on this basis (or others) over their appalling, antidemocratic actions we won't know.

Public fear of further government intervention should far exceed fear of the actual virus. This is either shameless political populism or utter ignorance of the worst kind.
