  1. I've got a lot of time for IDS, but people must not forget that the Tory party did far more than any other to embroil the UK in the European Project. From the obvious Heath taking the UK in to it to Thatcher's signing of the Single European Act. Both of which ultimately paved the way for Major's signing of the mother of all sovereignty busting treaties, Maastricht in 1990. So yes many UK businesses are bitching and screaming and yes many have become long addicted to a ready supply of cheap labour consistently failing to invest, but let's not conveniently forget who actually long sowed the seeds for this unraveling travesty eh?
