  2. So, according to Simon Caldwell, a UK tourist travelling to Spain is to be treated no differently than one from Tonga or Venezuela. It's what we voted for apparently and despite Portuguese efforts to mitigate these issues in their own interests Spain is unwilling to do the same. Worth noting perhaps that Spain receives the largest proportion of UK outbound tourism spend, standing at £7.9 billion in 2016, equivalent to 18% of the world total and 31% of UK tourists' entire spend in the EU27 countries. Presumably Tongan and Venezuelan tourists to Spain would significantly help to make up any shortfall should UK tourists choose to take their business elsewhere?

  4. Fascinatingly illuminating this. Judging by a number of the comments made here if you hit a queue at an EU airport it's only ever because you're British and because of Brexit otherwise they simply don't ever occur for any EU citizens. They really are something else aren't they.
