  1. Nothing personal, but Johnson clearly has no backbone. Oakeshott is right. Much easier to forgive a leader who makes the wrong decision for the right reasons than one who forever vacillates as Johnson has done.

  2. The problem here is how do you easily row back from this? There's little doubt that some are enjoying and benefitting from this hoopla, but lots of people have heavily invested in this emotionally and many have been forced to make huge sacrifices because of it.
