  2. And this was why Trump was trying to dig the dirt on Biden in that phonecall with Zelensky in Ukraine, threatening to withhold aid. It was also the subject of his first impeachment hearing in which Trump's defence consisted of the claim that it wasn't Russia who influenced the 2016 election but Ukraine. We now know Russiagate was a mainstream media backed hoax and now hardly hear anything of it and it looks, again, that Trump was more right than wrong here.
