  1. The sad fact is is that large numbers of people in the West won't agree to more domestically sourced oil and gas until events start to hit them and their lifestyles hard materially. It's apparently ok to live in a predominantly fossil fuelled world as long as it's being done 'somewhere else' out of sight out of mind, and as long as your governments talk the talk but don't have to walk the walk when it comes to zero carbon economies.

  4.  @nocensorship8092  In a way, yes, particularly if you're a here today, gone tomorrow politician, but I'm just amazed that SO many people choose not to see farther than the end of their noses. I wouldn't mind but it's all the nauseating endless virtue signalling we all have endure in the meantime.
