Perhaps, a wee bit like The Hunt For Red October but with a twist, there's a rogue Russian general who quietly planned to turn on the gas to a hard-pressed Europe when Putin (not the dead namesake in the film obviously) wasn't looking? Vlad (the real one) got wind of it and decided to make sure, once and for all, that such potential traitorous shenanigans would be well and truly put to bed?
