  1. Perhaps you can shed some light for me here? Why is it not uncommon for Jews like Pappe to allegedly hate Jews would you say and when did he admit to this? Further to which, why is there a deliberate conflation between the state of Israel and being Jewish whereby any criticism of its actions as a state can be automatically construed as being anti-Semitic? Is it similarly fair to say, for example, that criticizing any European states for their actions is akin to being 'anti-Christian' or criticizing the KSA or UAE is essentially driven by people being 'anti-Islamic'?

  2. To be fair, the one thing that Pappe and Blumenthal didn't mention there is assimilate. Easier said than done but genocide and ethnic cleansing were never the only options in first half 20th century Palestine. The state of Israel, essentially, was conceived and came about in original sin ie it was the culmination European anti-Semitism. It was an intrinsically flawed solution to a 19th and 20th century European caused problem.
