  1. I didn't think Putin would invade until he did and then I started looking into the background of this conflict. Once I'd done that I realised, in retrospect, that he was always going to invade as this conflict had been brewing for years in no small part because it had been stoked by the West. The biggest mystery to me is why the apparatus of pretty much all Western governments didn't already know what I, a humble citizen, subsequently found out.
