Be it right or wrong, the Trump stolen election narrative has the traction it does amongst Republican voters because Democrats, silicon valley and the mass media spent five long years trying every which means possible trying to delegitimise the man and his presidency. Whilst it might be the politics of the playground it was the Democrats, silicon valley and the mass media who first squeezed this toxic toothpaste out of its tube and in doing so fired the first shot in destabilising wider faith in US democracy and its institutions.
