I watched the whole thing, it's quite pathetic how humbling these minute progresses are. The ratio between level of complexity and cost of this apparatus versus what it can accomplish is pretty bad (high). They put so much complexity into it thinking it reduces chances something goes wrong but they make childish mistakes such as not accounting for dust covering the photovoltaic cells. Anyone who has vacuumed a dusty room with a see through vacuum canister will see the accumulation of microscopic dust particles making it opaque. A housemaid would have known this when these nasa scientists didn't. It was already known that Mars was particularly dusty and windy. Their nasa facilities working in clean rooms made them miss the reality. Second the rock sample rock tube that was empty, forgive me to believe that nasa failed to test all possible rocks available on earth. I am certain you can find certain type of rock earch that would also pulverize from drilling. Then the rocks falling from the tube getting stuck in the insert pipes, that is again overlooking what can happen. I know it's easy to critisize in hindsight but given the amount of dollars they invest in these things such basic mistakes indicates their engineering approach is uneven applying extreme advance technology on one hand and making garage tinkerer mistakes on the other. Their vision is too narrow they tend to focus on areas they understand and miss others they are less familiar with.
