  1.  @JerseyLynne  Absolutely i've experienced this too. but it only happens on a ledge not when you are on the wall climbing or descending. I think it is a misinterpretation of subconscious thoughts that evaluate the danger by imagining a fall which is misinterpreted as an actual will to jump. But i've felt it, and it even gives you the need to babysit your movements to not be too close from the ledge. It can also be a risk minimizing instinct due to rare freak movements like a suddently cranky joint or out of nowhere mistep, seized nerve that cause an uncontrolled fatal movement over the ledge.

  2. it happens everywhere in NC hanging stone park , you often see fools walking on the rocky terrain next to the cliff ledge.
