  2. The jeep presence confused the buffalo. In these situations it actually helps the predators.

  3. Hyenas are not much better in that regards. It's especially horrific on old buffalo male that are cast out of herds and always die eaten alive, literally standing while their rear and guts are getting pulled out and eaten by hyenas. It's not often filmed but it's almost always how they end their lives.
