@skittenskitten Don't disturb normal individuals' peace then. I doubt you'd say this if you had your daily life negatively impacted by junkies screaming, dropping needles on the ground and intimidating your kids. Uncivilized behavior should be kept away from the public's sight.

@jamy.k.3245 Even if they get housing and basic utility assistance, many will continue disturbing the peace on the streets, continue with the drug abuse and clog up the city's space at the expense of everyone. Seems like a hard issue to solve. Broken windows policing, locking most of them up and providing assistance away from normal communities seems to be the way to go.

@LeninCat1917 Big corporations and their talking heads (including Oliver) generally love to display their strong contempt for white people, for capitalism and every policy that keeps them and their communities safe. They think it's the right form of virtue-signalling and profitable. But they'd quickly abandon ship and leave the rest with their misery if their treasonous policies ever got incorporated. And no, capitalism isn't the main culprit per se if you think a replacement of it is the solution. Commie blocks isn't a very attractive alternative.

Death penalty could be made a whole lot cheaper. And it gets rid of recidivism. The problem with its use in the US is the lack of streamlining and the process of being able to appeal a clear cut case for 20 years. Useless. You'll lose everyone when you start out by the premise that it's "moral" to abolish the death penalty. Say that to the many victims who've been killed and injured because society decided to release a psychopathically animalistic entity.

@tilda140 Nothing worse for a society than lefty compassion. You can't say "compassion" while at the same time advocating for policies that equally drags down an area, exacerbates drug use, normalizes misconduct and increases crime. That's usually the outcome of the left's many oblivious solutions.

That's kind of the point. Stay in the forest or away from public areas/neighborhoods. Show some respect to people who'll feel intimidated and uncomfortable.
