  1. Restricting lobbying would probably entail infringing upon freedom of speech and basic liberty. Any organizations, corporations and private citizens has the ability to influence elections. Powerful corporations may of course have an increase in power due to its size, capital and prominent position. But should they arbitrarily be forbidden from participating in election campaigns and negotiating with legislators? How would that be rolled out?

  3. Trump's administration has appointed a couple of "conservative" judges. But these judges hasn't made rulings based on ideological lines. So these judges' leanings doesn't seem as a big of a deal as people are portraying, since they seem to rule against their own worldviews and biases. Are they trying to be independent? Were they never really conservative/liberal in the first place? I don't think we'd get much different results if judges were selected based on the vision to have a fully independent judicial system. The rulings would be quite similar.
