  1.  @fiya..  The Dutch probably did more for the people than the current Indonesian government and would do more today with their higher and new standards. At least colonialization resulted in control and prosperity to a degree, exceeding the bad circumstances seen in many Asian and African countries today. Has to be said that some colonizers took things too far as well.

  2. When you prioritize following Sharia law and punishing every heretic for some questionable justification rather than finishing off building the first stages that creates a stable civilization, you know you're in trouble.

  3. Perhaps Indonesia could solve this problem if they focused on building infrastructure and meeting basic human needs rather than punishing people for 'blasphemy' and islamizing the country further. Superstitious, corrupt, and incompetent governments at play.
