  1. The US economy is still miles ahead of China's. Around a 6 trillion dollar difference annually in terms of GDP rate. Although China is growing at a faster rate. But right now, US has the main say, power and leverage over everyone.

  3. Dems and Republicans in unison has a deep-seated contemptuous attitude for China, they're in the same boat. Not much will change. Maybe a slightly deescalated trade war.
