  2. US has its issues but the amount of issues the US has is insignificant compared with most of the world. Why do you think the world revolves around USA? Why do you think millions are doing all they can to enter the country?

  3.  @bekicot88  Their economy too. The average standards of living in the US exceeds most of the world as well, behind Canada, Australia, NZ, and a couple of Northern/Center/Western European countries.

  4.  @Ladeenian  Privatization or nationalization of energy production and power supply wouldn't prevent stormy weather from causing temporary outages, and wouldn't prevent production sources from freezing/being rendered inoperable. However, that last issue can be prevented with the right equipment.
