  1. Descendants from those who were targeted in WWII, maybe. Descendants without any personal experience of oppression who therefore won't feel as guilty or hesitant towards everything ongoing in the IP-conflict in the same way as the forefathers would. Although many forefathers have been in favor Israel's foreign policy and occupation as well.

  2. I doubt the US ever will leave their best friend Israel. Too much at stake, too much opposition from loobyists/pro-Israel politicians.
