  1. Apart from the temporary downturn for the businesses (they can hopefully divert to other necessary and beneficial industries), I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing. We need to change our superficial and obsessive shopping habits which involves supporting mass consumption. Mass consumption leading to mass production, emissions, pollution, striving for constant and unregulated growth, and downprioritizing what actually matters in life such as good health, family, and collective unity.
