Many reasons: No education, religious brainwashing, corruption, droughts/natural catastrophes destroying the landscapes, broken ideologies/policies dictating the country, weak policies enabling violent groups to wreak havoc, and because it's hard to lift a massive continent of 1,2B individuals from poverty that keeps on demanding more and more food, water, and resources due to the high fertility rate.

  2. UN peacekeeping forces and assistance from the West were approved many years ago and is present in CAR. Some have been killed and hurt by these militias. The peacekeeping doesn't seem to solve the core of the issue considering that this violence keeps reoccurring. And the lack of gratitude from the residents in these countries isn't very charming or encouraging. Perhaps we should leave them be.
