It's interesting how Al Jazeera's comment section is flooded with criticism against Myanmar's oversight and zero tolerance policy against societal threats. Do you oppose China's assimilation policies for Uighurs too? Is it wrong to assimilate high-risk groups?

  2. Don't simplify someone's track record like a biased actor. She received the nobel peace prize DECADES prior to the military's crackdowns, that she had nothing to do with, against the small minority groups accused for sympathizing with the terror attacks against the Myanmar police and civilians. Whether the term "genocide" is appropriate or not can be debated. The matter hasn't been resolved. Kyi has denied the few transgressions by the military, and did not order the military to go in and restore order in several villages.

  3. The only good thing from this is that the chance of the West receiving what they want diminishes. The West has humiliated Kyi for years and interfered in Myanmar to protect societal threats under the slogan "democracy & human rights", and now they pretend caring about Kyi's well-being and wishes for her rule to return. Here comes the backlash.
