  1. That's important to note before listening to this, yes. Greece are carried by donations and funding from the EU because they've messed up their economy. They have a low retirement age, prioritizes spending over stability, has massive debts/shortages, and has long lived over one's own means.

  2. The increased wealth isn't liquified and can't be transferred into capital without crashing the stock market and the value of the stock that the rich person owns. If you own a large portion of an industry that the market desires, your net worth and profitability will skyrocket. That doesn't automatically have to be a bad thing if the opportunity is used to create jobs, boost the economy, pay a decent amount of taxes, and/or by donating to charity. Look, economic disparity/inequality should be mitigated. But it'll always exist and isn't per definition a bad thing, depending on what it means and how the average standard of living looks like in a society. We don't need any more socialist takeovers, which many of these debates tends to lead to.
