@momon969 Globalization has to do with foreign relations, national security, migration policy and how a country's general priorities should look like. Nobody opposes free trade to make things cheaper and streamline production. That's a typical strawman argument made by anti-nationalists.

Nobody is saying that China is at fault. Well, apart from being responsible for the coronavirus outbreak and all the unavoidable restrictions that arose and impacted freight ships, transportation routes and trade overall.

@johnpijano4786 What I meant is that everybody likes free trade. That part of globalization is wonderful and enriches everybody's life in the end. But all forms of globalization (if we put free trade aside) is not necessarily beneficial to a country's strength and ability to thrive. Sometimes a country and its populace has to put their own interest ahead of the naive notion of trying to save the world at the expense of so many areas.

Kind of funny that a previous socialist state, China, and its communist ruling party, are doing all they can to ramp up the production of goods and products which in itself strengthens the endless and superficial consumption society that communists tends to oppose. China has realized that a free market economy with a capitalist framework is necessary for fast growth and to eradicate poverty. But the country should change their image of being red socialists. CCP should change their name.
