  1. He won by a democratic election a few years back, so anything else would be surprising. The TPLF is just a small group in the Northern mountainous region of Ethiopia, with limited support. TPLF are deemed as rebel traitors which will be arrested and punished, from what it seems.

  2. Tedros, the WHO director, were raised in Tigray and part of the TPLF for quite some time. But he seems to have distanced himself from the group now.
