@fazm313 You clearly weren't here. The international community, UN and many organizations has condemned the Myanmar military for their strict actions taken against the high-risk religious group in the country. The leader has been drawn to the international court for heaven's sake. Don't pretend as if the entire world were quiet before the military coup earlier this year.

They've been governing the country in the style they're doing right now for a long time. Their grip on power is strong. Their financial situation even better. China and many superpowers are on their side. A little protesting and rioting isn't any challenge for a military with absolute authority. I don't think the state will fall, even though some police officers and government officials are turning their backs.
