  1. No, these people were pardoned because they were charged for politically motivated reasons. The Russian collusion scandal was a shameless and deceptive investigation that tainted the US reputation and will always be seen as an embarrassment to those who know what happened.

  2. Good. The Russian collusion theory was always a conspiratorial hoax, an illegal witch hunt based on shaky grounds which has been disproven over and over again. Anyone who touted the theory ought to apologize and those who got unconstitutionally entrapped by the spying campaigns and unethical conduct by the FBI and federal authorities deserves a pardon, even if they incompetently managed to lie about their whereabouts or what they did at a certain time when interviewed by the FBI or Congress.

  3.  @Arnisho  Probably because he thought he'd get in deep trouble for incompetently lying (about a case that wasn't illegal in the first place), if he didn't take the plea deal and admit what he did. He said that he got duped. Either way, most people caught up in this witch hunt were innocent in actuality. It's an illegitimate investigation that wouldn't have happened in a country that values the concept of innocent until proven guilty and fair treatment by the judiciary.
