Negotiating with aggressive fundamentalists such as the Taliban is equivalent to negotiating with terrorists. I know that deescalation is highly desired, especially by the US after all these years but we also know how the Taliban rule prior to 2001 looked like. The population were in chains. Suffering. Forced to stay away from becoming educated. The question is how you establish a functioning system in a broken and plundered country such as Afghanistan, after all that has happened.

@AbdullahAbdullah-gb9zg The unrest is on the Taliban and all the fundamentalists that supported violence and destruction in the country. US at least tried to stop that. To reestablish peace, civility and dignity for the Afghan people and to ensure that the region is secure. That mostly failed, but don't blame those attempting to improve things when there's real culprits out there.
