  1. The developed world has tried to change China's way of going about things for decades. The centralization and autocratic vein in the country has only grown stronger. China won't ever back down, it seems, and neither will presumably USA.

  2. US called out China's intellectual property theft, thieving activities on the internet, spying, etc. That's of everybody's concern. But yes, USA should be silent when it comes to how China wants to handle problems of radicalization at home or in Hong Kong.
