  1. Law & order and threats to China's stability isn't occurring from Taiwan's side. So apart from stopping the provocations, US/foreign influence and expanding China's influence, taking over Taiwan isn't as important or hurried.

  2. China has taken illegal claims in the South China Sea, the Atlantic, and tries to expand their land/territory ownership in a militant manner. In a destabilizing manner. That's not just protecting "one's own country and interests".

  3. China has even admitted to the Uighur reeducation camps, lol. I don't mind China's strict assimilation policy and control of risky groups, personally. Shouldn't China stand up for and be proud of their policies?
