  1. These leaders with anti-corruption messages and promises to boost the economy and create jobs are elected all the time on this continent. The results are unfortunately not often successful. The story keep repeating itself. Hopefully it works out this time around.

  2. I don't think "free and fair elections" are most pressing issue in the country when people barely can make ends meet. Look at Tunisia that turned democratic or the dozens of other African nations. Everybody getting a right to vote and to participate can be a good thing, but it doesn't always lead to competent solutions of complicated issues.
