  1. Corruption is hard to root out. A change in leadership would benefit the people. I doubt a new leader would be as illiterate as Lukasjenko when it comes to dealing with viruses. Suggesting sauna visits, drinking, driving tractors and playing hockey to counter a virus outbreak may be one of the most incompetent policy proposals i've ever hard. Lukasjenko does also have ties to Communist movements and ideas, which has impacted the economy and opportunities in the country, in a negative direction. I can see why people are angry.

  2.  @Romer70  Middle Eastern countries aren't that bad if you behave, are religious and follow the doctrine/laws ascribed. The economy is usually a whole lot better in the Middle east, at least in the relatively stable nations, since they aren't communist-esque hellholes like Belarus.
