Justice and law enforcement is very important to prevent a violent situation seen in Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico where criminal networks, cartels, and psychopathic murderers wreaks havoc with almost impunity. Hugging these people isn't the policy that works, hence why people support someone like Duterte and his political priorities.

  5. It's understandable that someone like him is chosen to govern when the country is stuck in a miserable mess. You can't turn a country and its people back on track through individualist voluntarism and democracy, if you're serious about reaching successful results. To handle addicts, criminals and those disrespecting quarantine/coronavirus recommendations, you need a strongman with an iron fist to step his foot down.
