  1. I actually believe Musk when he says that he'd shutdown the company if it was used to breach people's privacy and spy. He's the most libertarian oriented private person out there, after all. He believes that restrictions against the corona is fascism. Kind of hysterical.

  2. Then you won't be able to use certain equipment, cars and new technology. Documentation is sometimes necessary for legal, security and safety reasons for all parties involved. Anyway, it's not like some private US company would be spying on you in a way that could impact you. If the authorities wanted to gather your info, whereabouts and private convos, they'd already be able to do so.
