The government is basically dependent on the support of islamist jihadists. They backed down after these extreme groups had rioted and encouraged the Pakistani government to boycott French products and strengthen blasphemy laws. The government accepted the demands and released the violent detainees in jail. They also voted to withdraw their ambassador from France after France stood behind freedom of expression and for rejecting acts of terror. However, Pakistan didn't even have an ambassador in France...such a ridiculous government and populace.
