  1. Considering that Belarus essentially is a dictatorship with a half-autocratic leader, I'm surprised that there's so few deaths and injuries among the demonstrators. I suppose the authorities aren't as strict as we've been told. Or maybe the authorities has the capability to go in hard, but have been given directives to just for the most part ignore the protests. There's a lack of reports from Belarus too since it's difficult for journalists to go there and report. It's easy to get your license revoked and be deported. One of the more high-risk locations in Europe to conduct journalism in.
