  2. If the movement backed down after the extradition bill was suspended a year ago and if they avoided using political violence to make an undemocratic change, it'd be easier to sympathize. It's be easier to criticize the national security legislation. But nope, these arrests, prosecutions and crackdowns are actually justified with these premises in mind.
