  1. It's safe from what we know, with minimal side-effects. Long term side-effects can't be ruled out, but the alternative of not vaccinating is more dangerous than doing so.

  2. 17 FDA officials voted in favor, 3 opposed. The 3 that opposed the provision stating that 16-17 y/o's should receive the vaccine, something that the 17 officials disagreed with. The vaccine seems to on most parameters be safe.
