  2. Better than hurting people or brainwashing one's children, as many other religious festivities and rituals entails. Christmas is mostly a harmless, beautiful and unifying holiday that many cherishes. Trees are replanted and some grow back. It's a whole industry that engages in forest management to provide the christmas trees annually. I don't think it's that's harmful.
