If only. Many scientific revolutions and conclusions based off of all the available evidence tends to be politicized and dismissed based on its content, these days. That's dangerous. The left dismisses data about crime rate, mental complications within certain groups. The right (if you can call it that, they're liberal/libertarian) dismisses data that e.g. proves that quarantine measures, mask usage and vaccines are effective and that its benefits outweigh its risks/side-effects.
Some pseudo-scientific fields are also labelled as scientific, such as conclusions based off of qualitative data collection, subjective interpretations, assessments that are difficult to keep objective, etc. Gender studies, CRT, feminist doctrines, and so on.
It's also unfortunate that some states provides extra funds to do research about subjects that may benefit the state. Or subjects that are related to pseudo-science.
And lastly, corporations has sometimes way too much of a say in studies and scientific research. Such as the tobacco industry trying to lie and present the notion that the usage of tobacco isn't as risky as it has been proven to be.
