  1. Good on the Swiss people. Adopting religious symbols that opposes one's cultural values, oppresses women and is used to cater to men without self-control, is irrational. Good that they're banning the usage of it. But I'm sure backwards EU courts and NGOs will claim that the legislation is illegal and a HR violation. I hope Switzerland doesn't back down though.

Many are forced by their family or the state to wear garments to prevent 'provoking men's sexual desires' and to appear as decent as possible (the latter can be reached without wearing this clothing). Oppression and control is what the niqab and burqa symbolizes. How can anyone support that unless they're an indoctrinated fundamentalist or just a naive tolerance preacher?
