  1. That has shown to be very effective during war times, and in this crisis. If the people are able to go their own way and dictate their own fate in a historical crisis, the country will severely mess up their response. This has been apparent in many democracies, which is why the system of liberal democracy is on retreat.

  2. Interesting fact in China: The divorce rate has spiked during the pandemic. So has the presence of domestic violence. But the country has managed to open up rapidly, so I presume the rate is gradually decreasing again.
