  1. Pakistan sent fighters and financial aid in the late 80s/early 90s to the Taliban in Afghanistan so a regime favorably to Pakistan would be installed there. These sort of operations and turning the other cheek to radical Islamists has resulted in a ton of backlash. Pakistan should've thought twice prior to indulging in these activities.
