  1. You should "care about the West", or others for that matter, to avoid coming across as ignorant of world history and the meaning of influential symbols. You'll end up in very embarrassing situations otherwise. E.g, if you roam around glorifying contentious leaders or wears symbols that are stigmatized in certain parts of the world.

The entire world cares about the West, and very little about your country India (if we're gonna play this petty game). Perhaps show some respect and concern for others, to shake things up for once and be seen as more humble.
