  1. Veganism isn't as nutritional or tasty, unfortunately. Abandoning meat and spending extra time to produce/cook disgusting food isn't very attractive. So most people prefer to uphold their habits. But that doesn't mean that security and good safety standards shouldn't be strengthened.

  3. The bird flu doesn't seem to be that dangerous. It mainly spreads between birds and kills birds. Transmission to and spread between people is more rare. Around 700 have died since the virus were first detected decades ago. The world is more prepared for this virus too. I'm sure Japan will figure it out.
