  1. Certain industries are dominated by a specific gender because of natural reasons. Because of differences in interest. Biological characteristics that results in people choosing separate paths. Some countries has tried to eliminate this discrepancies by affirmative action and governmentally forced gender quotas, but that tends to just result in more gender splits, as seen in e.g. Sweden. If I had to guess why there are more female workers in the wool industry in Australia, may it have to do with the inclination for women to enjoy socially caring for others? Caressing and treating animals? Living at home, close to or at a farm? With that in mind, this seems very natural.
