Relying on one industrial sector, indulging in price fixes, regulating the market excessively, undermining free trade and printing cash to satisfy corrupt officials and handle the deficits/shortages, leads to a bunch of issues. Yet people seemingly still support the socialist dictator Maduro. Maybe not naturally due to brainwashing, limited education and a restricted opposition. But there's still people who genuinely express support for this rogue state and its bandit leaders. Even from the USA and from Europe. Heck, even the previous prime minister of Spain (or some higher-up official in the government) publicly defends Maduro and the state of affairs in Venezuela. They blame all the failures on US sanctions and the crash of oil prices.
